"Nice, simple soap"
I really like that this soap doesn’t feel like it’s packed with a bunch of weird ingredients. It has a natural, clean smell, and my skin hasn’t felt as dry after using it. Shipping was totally fine too. Weirdly, I remember opening the box while eating a pickle, so now that whole first-use moment is stuck in my head, but no complaints at all

My skin is annoyingly sensitive, so trying a new soap usually feels like a gamble. Most of the time I end up itchy, red, or with that tight burning feeling afterward. A friend mentioned Chagrin Valley, so I decided to give one of their bars a try, and I was surprised that my face didn’t freak out.
The scent is really light, not overpowering, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling squeaky-dry like a lot of soaps do. Shipping was totally fine too, which was a nice bonus. Mostly, I’m just relieved to have found something that my skin doesn’t seem to hate for once.

"My skin actually feels better now"
I started using the soap and the salve after my skin got really dry and itchy, though I can’t remember if I tried the salve first or the soap first. Either way, I wasn’t expecting much, but my skin started feeling better quickly. The soap doesn’t leave that tight, stripped feeling like a lot of store-bought ones do, and the salve helped the rough spots in maybe a few days? Could’ve been less, I kind of lost track. Nothing fancy, just simple stuff that actually works

"Helpful customer service when it mattered"
I had a small issue with my order, so I emailed customer service and mostly just focused on how they handled it. They got back to me quickly and were friendly about fixing everything. It took one day longer than I was hoping, but I didn’t really dwell on that since the overall experience was smooth. I’d order from them again

My order showed up quickly, which I appreciated, but one of the soap scents was wrong. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was frustrating because I specifically chose that scent for a reason. I also wish the communication had been clearer about what was actually being sent, because the surprise wasn’t exactly a good one.

I was genuinely so surprised by how quickly my order showed up. I placed it, got the shipping email not long after, and then just a couple days later it was already at my door. Such a nice feeling when something arrives sooner than expected! Everything was packed well too, so I had zero worries. Really happy with the whole delivery experience and I’d definitely order again.

"Pretty good once I figured it out"
I’ve been using this shampoo bar for a few weeks now, and I’m sure my hair feels softer and a little less frizzy. It did take me a bit to get the rinsing part right, so there was a small learning curve, but overall I’m happy with it.

"Pretty happy with my order"
I was a little nervous ordering because I always worry something won’t be as good as it looks online, but I’m actually happy with this soap. It smells really nice and feels good on my skin. "Great lather and doesn’t leave my skin tight"
I’ve tried a handful of Chagrin Valley bars now, and compared to a lot of other natural soaps people rave about, these really stand out for the lather. It starts off kind of creamy and then gets nicely bubbly even with just my hands, so I don’t feel like I need a washcloth to get it going.
It rinses clean and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight afterward, which is a big deal for me. The bar lasts a decent amount of time too as long as I keep it dry between uses. Nothing flashy, just a really nice everyday soap...

"Good eco-friendly shop, just a tiny bit of room to improve"
I really like that Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve seems to actually care about keeping things low-waste. My order came with simple packaging, not a bunch of unnecessary plastic, and the ingredients literally feel more natural than most soaps I’ve bought before.

I’m giving 4 stars because the shipping took a little longer than I expected, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, it feels like a solid company if you’re trying to shop more eco-friendly without making the whole thing complicated...

I picked up one of the shampoo bars it’s lasted longer than I expected. In my experience, it does take a little while to fully dry out between uses, but that hasn’t been a big issue for me. Overall, I’m happy with it and feel like I got good use out of it.

"Good ingredients, just a bit pricey"
i mean, I’ve bought a few soaps and a salve from Chagrin Valley, and overall I’ve been happy with them. The ingredients feel simple and good quality, without a bunch of random stuff I can’t even pronounce. My skin seemed to like them too. I’m only taking off a star because a few things were more expensive than I expected.

My hands get so dry that it makes me feel irritated and distracted, so I’m really happy this has been helping. After using it, my skin stays soft pretty much all day, and it just feels nice not having to think about my hands constantly
